Welcome to the Herschel Centenary Website is hosted by the Old Herschelians’ Association. This temporary site has been created to communicate events surrounding Herschel’s Centenary celebrations and to showcase items for sale to commemorate Herschel’s Centenary.

The vision of the Old Herschelians’ Association is to sell commemorative items to raise funds that can be invested into the OHA Investment Fund to support both the OHA network and provide financial relief, when required, to pupils and their families in the course of their studies. We made sure to support members of our own family and all of the items, except the rose, have been proudly procured from members of our Herschel family – even this beautiful website (thank you to OH Lindsay Campbell (nee Marx) from Oonie).

You will find a wonderful variety of items for sale. Most items will be available for collection from the Heritage Centre at Herschel Senior School. Jewellery by Kirsten Goss must be collected in person from a local outlet. Certain items can also be sent by courier to a destination within South Africa. Unfortunately international shipping is not available. Please contact us if you need our help in terms of delivery of the beautiful commemorative items.

We ask that you consider opting to pay via EFT to help reduce portal tariffs and, for Cape Town locals, we ask that you consider collecting your items from the OHA Heritage Centre (located at the Senior School) to save on costs in order to maximise our fundraising ability.
